This manual is for the owner or manager running a team on MoreSignedDeals. It covers setting your team up, reading the jobs your reps send you, changing prices, and handling the day-to-day stuff — in the order you'll actually do it. Your app was built around your price book, your discount ladder, and your colors; nothing in here changes a number unless you change it yourself.
The app has four tabs. Your reps see three — HOME, QUOTE, PRICING. You see a fourth, MANAGER, because your sign-in has manager access. Everything internal — commissions, floors, the jobs your reps send — lives behind that tab and nowhere else. Nothing on the Quote or Pricing screens ever shows a customer a commission or floor figure, and neither does any document the app produces.
The app opens on Home. At the bottom of the Home screen is the account bar: who you're signed in as, the Privacy saver picker, Help, and Sign out. It lives on Home only, on purpose — sign-out should never sit under a working thumb mid-appointment.
The app works offline. Quotes, price changes, and sends all store on the device and sync the next time there's a signal and the app checks in. Nothing waits for a connection to work at the kitchen table.
Do these three things first and the rest of this manual is just daily use.
1. Build your roster. On the Manager screen, open Add New and add every person who will touch the app — reps and management team alike. Every person gets their own sign-in: name, email, phone, and a temporary password you choose. Two choices on that form matter:
2. Check your prices. Your price book was loaded from your intake before go-live. Open Rates → Current Prices (bottom of the Manager screen) and spot-check the items your reps sell most. If something's wrong, §7 shows the change path.
3. Check your Settings. In Settings on the Manager screen, set Jobs to display — how many jobs the Manager screen lists before "Show All Jobs" (5, 6, 7, or 10).
After that: tell each person their email and temporary password, and have them sign in once before their first appointment.
Team on the Manager screen lists everyone, with their email, role, phone, and whether they're active.
A seat on the pricing screen's contact sheet belongs to manager access: turn someone's manager access off and their contact seat goes with it.
There are no password-reset emails and your reps should never be sent to us. You reset your own people's passwords, in the app:
Team → the person's Edit card → type a new password in the password field → Save.
The old password stops working the moment the change saves. Hand the new one over the way you'd hand over anything else on the job — in person or on a call, not in a group text.
Your own password changes the same way, on your own card in Team. The only account we ever touch from our side is the top-level owner account itself, and only through the process in §14.
Jobs Sent by Reps sits at the top of the Manager screen — it's the live part of your day. When a rep sends a job, an alert appears at the top of the screen naming the customer, what happened, and the rep. Tap Dismiss once you've seen it.
Each job is a card. Collapsed, it reads: customer, list price, current price, the rep, and the date and time of the last thing that happened to it. Tap the card to open the full picture:
Use the Rep filter to look at one rep's jobs at a time, and Export All Jobs (CSV) when you want the whole list in a spreadsheet.
One thing to know: a job only reaches this screen when the rep Sends it from the Pricing screen. Reps can also save jobs locally on their own devices — those are theirs, they never appear here, and that's by design.
The flow is built around one moment: the rep is at the table, the price needs a decision, and it needs one now.
Why a third person at all: a further discount means more when it comes from somebody who wasn't already in the room. Your rep has given everything he is allowed to give — if he suddenly finds another few thousand on his own, everything he said before it starts to look made up. A drop from you carries weight precisely because you are the only one who can offer it. In most pay plans that drop lives deep in the structure, from around Par down toward Cost — which is exactly why it was never the rep's to give.
If the rep had no signal, the job queues and sends itself when the signal comes back; the rep's screen tells them which happened.
Three parts of the drop call are yours to set with your reps — they are house rules, not app settings, and every company runs them a little differently:
Set them once, say them plainly, and the drop call runs the same way no matter which rep is at the table.
You can change any price in your book, yourself, in the app. The path is deliberately a few steps deep — prices shouldn't change on a stray thumb:
Manager screen → Rates → Current Prices → Change on the item → type the new price → Save.
The other road is the paid price-book update service: send us the new book and we load it for you. Self-edit is free and immediate; the update service is for whole-book changes you don't want to type.
Some items in your book carry a green stripe on the Quote screen and sort to the top of their group — your lead products, the ones you want led with. Those highlights came from your price sheet at intake. They're yours to change:
Rates → Current Prices → Change on the item → tick "Highlighted — a lead product" → Save.
The toggle rides the same save and the same old → new confirmation as a price change. Highlights show on reps' quote screens only. They never appear on anything a customer sees — not the scope sheet, not the customer document.
Delete Job on a job card removes it from the jobs list after a confirmation. It isn't gone: it moves to Deleted Jobs on the Manager screen, with who deleted it and when, and restores from there in one tap.
Deleting a job here doesn't touch the rep's device. If the rep still has the job saved locally, it's still on their phone — your list and their device are separate copies.
The Manager screen's Settings panel holds one setting: Jobs to display (5, 6, 7, or 10) — how many jobs show before the list folds into "Show All Jobs."
Everything else people call a setting lives where it's used: a person's details and access on their Team card, prices under Rates, the Privacy saver at the bottom of your own Home screen.
Home → Backup & Restore → Backup Everything writes one file holding your saved jobs, saved estimates, the current quote, and your pricing settings. Store it somewhere that isn't the phone — email it to yourself, put it in your files.
Restore from a backup file puts it all back, all-or-nothing: the file is checked before anything changes, you confirm, and the backup replaces what's on the device. Restore is a recovery tool, not a way to merge two phones.
From any saved job on Home, Document produces the customer document and CSV the internal spreadsheet. The rules are hard-coded, not settings:
Your term includes 3 styling sessions in year one — use or lose. Sessions not used by your first anniversary expire.
A styling session is where your app's look changes: layout, surfaces, colors, type, density — the flavor choices from your onboarding menu. Collect your reps' feedback as they sell with the app (what reads well, what thumb misses, what they'd move) and bring it to the session; the changes get made there, from that feedback.
Styling sessions are styling only. Price changes are never part of one — those are your in-app edits (§7) or the paid update service, same as any other day. Included price-book updates and their pricing are in your agreement.
[JEFF: confirm the support terms to print here — SUPPORT.md currently proposes business hours Eastern, email only, one business day response, same-day for "nobody can sign in." Print them as commitments or adjust.]
If the problem is the top-level owner account itself — locked out, the owner left, the email changed — that's the one thing support handles directly. The request comes from the account's email of record, we verify it against your intake record, and the new temporary password is handed over on a live call, never by email alone.
